Week 4 MVP’s

October 13, 2009

Week 4 brings us our first repeat MVP award…..of course it’s the kicker…

Armed N Dangerous were led to their 1 point come from behind, just do enough to win victory on Monday Night by a 26 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who tore apart the The Crew defense for 384 passing yards and 2 passing TDs and 16 rushing yards.

Playground Legends were led to their first victory on the year by a 32 point effort from Rashard Mendenhall, who beat the Money Inc. defense for 165 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 26 receiving yards.

It’s official, he is now ‘THE’ Steve Smith – he shreds the Legends defense for 134 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs.

Back to Back weeks for the MVP kicking squad of The Crew as Gostkowski nails 3 extra points and 2 FGs,

With 5 sacks and 3 turnovers that all went for TDs, the 49ers Defense led the way for Runs N Throses to claim there 2nd Team of the Week award on the season.


Week 3 MVP’s

October 4, 2009

Three weeks are completed and we have still not had one repeat MVP…

Money Inc. were led to their 13 point victory by a 33 point effort from Peyton Manning, who tore apart the Bubba Army defense for 379 passing yards and 4 passing TDs….This is the 2nd MVP Quarterback and 4th MVP overall given up by the Army defensive unit

Maurice Jones-Drew beat the X-Factor defense for 119 rushing yards and 3 rushing TDs in addition to 28 receiving yards…..This is the second straight week Runs N Throses has had the highest scoring player for the week….

Playground Legends were helped out in a losing cause by a 33 point effort from Santana Moss, who tore apart the Bay Area Thrashers defense for 178 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD…..

One of the few bright spots for The Crew was the kicking game and Stephen Gostkowski’s 4 Field Goals and 2 Extra Points…

Armed N Dangerous are making a play for the Storm Division title with lots of help from the Dallas Cowboys defense….they dominated Monday Night giving up only 7 points, scoring 3 sacks and 3 takeaways including a Pick Six


Week 2 MVP’s

September 26, 2009

Ok..yes I will try to get this done earlier in the week…We had no repeat MVPs this week.

Philip Rivers lit up the Warriors defense for 436 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 10 rushing yards in a losing effort.

Chris Johnson devastated the Bubba Army defense for 197 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 87 receiving yards and a receiving TD. With this performance, Johnson tied Clinton Portis for the highest single game score in TBFL history

Andre Johnson went off for 149 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs in helping Fudgie Whales get their first victory on the season.

Nate Kaeding helped pile the points on for Runs N Throses with 4 Field Goals and 2 Extra Points

The Giants Defense dominated the week with 4 takeaways including a Pick Six


Week 1 MVP’s

With week one of the TBFL season in the books, we recognize the players with the top performances at each position:

Drew Brees tore apart the Bubba Army defense for 358 passing yards and 6 passing TDs.

Adrian Peterson was unstoppable against the Armed N Dangerous defense piling up 180 rushing yards and 3 rushing TDs in addition to 18 receiving yards.

Reggie Wayne beat the Warriors defense for 162 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

Nick Folk nailed a 51 yard FG and 4 extra points in securing the win over Runs N Throses.

The Philadelphia Defense managed 7 turnovers, 5 sacks, and 2 TDs to seal the win over Playground Legends.
