The 2010 Franchise Player Deadline has come and gone.  The league is becoming more and more dynasty oriented as we have a new record 78 Franchise Tags, with at least one player from every position, and with at least one player being held in every eligible round.

The Breakdown by Positions:

37 Wide Receivers
23 Running Backs
13 Quarterbacks
4 Team Defenses
1 Place Kicker

2010 Potential Franchise Players

Quick FAQ:
UFA = Undrafted Free Agent
The number shown for 2009 is the round the player was drafted in.
The number shown for 2010 is the lowest round that player can be franchised.
If you want to franchise two players with the same number (ie. 12) one can be held in the 12th round, while the other will have to be held in the 11th or higher round.
The Franchise Player Deadline is Sunday, August 28, 2010.

2009 Franchise Player List

The 2009 Franchise Player Deadline has come and gone.  A record 65 players have been franchised by TBFL teams for the upcoming season, meaning six and a half rounds of the draft are essentially already completed.  That combined with the change to two minute rounds (and the fact that Runs N Throses only has 7 picks to left to make) should make the draft run that much quicker this year.

By positions: 13 Quarterbacks, 23 Running Backs, 24 Wide Receivers, 4 Defensive Units, and 1 Kicker.

One Week Till Franchise Player Deadline

If you have not yet officially submitted your keeper list to the Commish…now is the time to start working it out. 2008 Season Is Almost Here

Yes, it’s that time of year again when the Commish gets woken with air horns, prodded out of bed with sharp sticks, and led to the computer with the scent of pop-tarts so he can check countless forgotten email accounts and text messages asking ‘When is the draft ?’, ‘Where is the Keeper List ?’, ‘Are you still alive ?’, etc…

I am alive, and have been working sleepless nights learning more css, php, rss, mysql, and other silly acronyms than anyone should know, in an attempt to update our home on the internet.  This new site will serve as a permanent base of operations and is where TBFL news is likely to be posted before anywhere else.  By now the classic http://www.tbfl.net web address should be pointing here [crosses fingers].  For those of us that use RSS news readers [and if you don't - time to learn], be sure to subscribe to the feed by clicking on the pretty RSS logo in the right sidebar to receive updates as they are posted.  The actual weekly processing of transactions, line-ups, and stat tracking will once again be done on the MyFantasyLeague.com website.  Now for some changes…
