Tampa Bay Fantasy League

The 2009 Franchise Player Deadline has come and gone.  A record 65 players have been franchised by TBFL teams for the upcoming season, meaning six and a half rounds of the draft are essentially already completed.  That combined with the change to two minute rounds (and the fact that Runs N Throses only has 7 picks to left to make) should make the draft run that much quicker this year.

By positions: 13 Quarterbacks, 23 Running Backs, 24 Wide Receivers, 4 Defensive Units, and 1 Kicker.

Just a friendly reminder that there is only one more week till the Franchise Player Deadline. If you have not yet officially submitted your keeper list to the Commish…now is the time to start working it out. For those that may have forgotten where it is, the list of potential keepers is located here. Let me know if you have any questions.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that the Arena Football League will be “suspending operations indefinitely” and may also be declaring bankruptcy. Current TBFL owners Shannon Harris and Hunter McGaughey and former TBFL owner Andy Lopusnak have all had ties with the league between the Tampa Bay Storm and Grand Rapids Rampage. No word at press time if Great American Group will have any involvement in liquidating league assets, but if so….you know…helmet stickers….TBFL HQ…say no more…
